When carrying out a special inspection, the FSC found that Jkopay had shortcomings in internal control including allowing recipient users to overdraw electronic accounts and failure of business staff to carry out risk control checking in line with internal management regulations when executing user withdrawal in violation of related regulations and giving rise to concern about sound operation. The FSC thus imposed a fine of NT$1.8 million and issued a reprimand under articles 30, 33, 35 and 48 of the Act Governing Electronic Payment Institutions.
