Outstanding SME Loans by Domestic Banks as of April 2020

The Financial Supervisory Commission has released that up until the end of April 2020, the loans extended to SMEs by domestic banks amounted to NT$7,056billion. The amount increased by NT$53.05 billion as compared to the amount at the end of March 2020.

Up until the end of April 2020, the loans extended to SMEs by domestic banks accounted for 62.73% of total loans extended to total enterprises , increased by 0.07 percentage points as compared to the end of March 2020 and the loans extended to SMEs by domestic banks accounted for 65.17% of total loans extended to total private enterprisesdecreased by 0.05 percentage points as compared to the end of March 2020. In April 2020, the average NPL ratio of the SME loans was 0.41% and increased by 0.01 percentage point as compared to the end of March 2020.
