Outstanding SME Loans by Domestic Banks as of February 2025

The Financial Supervisory Commission has released that the loans extended to SMEs by domestic banks amounted to NT$10,369 billion by the end of February 2025. The amount increased by NT$6.8 billion as compared to the amount at the end of January 2025.
Up until the end of February 2025, the loans extended to SMEs by domestic banks accounted for 64.19% and 67.96% of total loans extended to total enterprises and private enterprises respectively, both increased by 0.1 percentage points as compared to the end of January 2025. In February 2025, the average NPL ratio of the SME loans was 0.23% and the ratio decreased by 0.03 percentage points compared to the end of January 2025.
The Financial Supervisory Commission continues to encourage domestic banks to promote SME loans with risk control and management in place. The FSC will endeavor to foster a favorable banking environment for SMEs.
