Outstanding SME Loans by Domestic Banks as of February 2021

The Financial Supervisory Commission has released that up until the end of February 2021, the loans extended to SMEs by domestic banks amounted to NT$7,896billion. The amount increased by NT$53.46 billion as compared to the amount at the end of January 2021.
Up until the end of February 2021, the loans extended to SMEs by domestic banks accounted for 66.88% of total loans extended to total enterprises , increased by 0.02 percentage points as compared to the end of January 2021 and the loans extended to SMEs by domestic banks accounted for 68.83% of total loans extended to total private enterprises, decreased by 0.01 percentage points as compared to the end of January 2021. In February 2021, the average NPL ratio of the SME loans was 0.34% and the ratio is the same as the end of January 2021.
The Financial Supervisory Commission continues to encourage domestic banks to promote SME loans with risk control and management in place. The FSC will endeavor to foster a favorable banking environment for Small and Medium Enterprises.
