Outstanding SME Loans by Domestic Banks as of Julyl 2018

The Financial Supervisory Commission has released that up until the end of July 2018, the loans extended to SMEs by domestic banks amounted to NT$6,274 billion. The amount decreased by NT$15.6 billion as compared to the amount at the end of June 2018.
Up until the end of July 2018, the loans extended to SMEs by domestic banks accounted for 61.01% and 63.76% of total loans extended to total enterprises and private enterprises respectively, increased by 0.02 and 0.03 percentage points respectively as compared to the end of June 2018. In July 2018, the average NPL ratio of the SME loans was 0.50% and the ratio is the same as the end of June 2018.
The Financial Supervisory Commission continues to encourage domestic banks to promote SME loans with risk control and management in place. The FSC will endeavor to foster a favorable banking environment for Small and Medium Enterprises.
