Outstanding SME Loans by Domestic Banks as of June 2016

The Financial Supervisory Commission has released that up until the end of June 2016, the loans extended to SMEs by domestic banks amounted to NT$5,540 billion. The amount increased by NT$61.6 billion as compared to the amount at the end of May 2016.
Up until the end of June 2016, the loans extended to SMEs by domestic banks accounted for 58.71% and 61.72% of total loans extended to total enterprises and private enterprises respectively, increased by 0.25 and 0.24 percentage points respectively as compared to the end of May 2016. In June 2016, the average NPL ratio of the SME loans was 0.47% and decreased by 0.01 percentage points as compared to the end of May 2016..
The Financial Supervisory Commission will encourage domestic banks to promote SME loans with proper risk control and management. The FSC will endeavor to foster a favorable banking environment for Small and Medium Enterprises.
